Tim is a world-renowned animal photographer with an unrivalled ability to provoke an emotional connection between animal subject and human viewer. His entire career and his life’s passion has been based upon the discovery and celebration of the innate power and drama that resides within the animal form. Not ‘wildlife photography’, but animal portraiture, bridging the gap between the us and them.
Tim believes that capturing animals in a portrait style culturally associated with humans is far more likely to move us – creating immediate empathy and presenting the opportunity for action.
Tim has been commissioned by Apple, Nike, Microsoft, British Airways, Barclays, Sheeba, Whiskers, Royal Canine, Pedigree, Virigin, O2, The BBC, WWF.
Tim is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from University of the Arts London in 2013. He is also a Senior Research Fellow (Artist in Residence) at Oxford University’s Centre for Eudaimonia and Human Flourishing. He was invited to deliver a TedxTalk in 2018. Tim was appointed President of the AOP (Association of Photographers) in 2019.
